Why Adrianne does this work...
I do this work because I know that the hardest part of re-entry is a choice to believe in someone’s potential. “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whatever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.”
Adrianne Thompson, MACM, is the Housing Community Coordinator at Tennessee Higher Education Initiative (THEI). In this role she will guide individuals to a life of independence while they continue to grow socially, economically and spiritually after incarceration. A Knoxville native, Adrianne received her BS of Social Work Degree from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. After navigating her own share of life’s challenges, she acquired a master’s degree from Lipscomb University in Christian Ministry with a Concentration in Pastoral Care and a Certification in Spiritual Direction. With the motto, “empowered people - empower people”, Adrianne advocates daily to support the community and be a light to others
