Why Adrianne does this work...

I do this work because I know that the hardest part of re-entry is a choice to believe in someone’s potential.  “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whatever you want to be.  I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.”

Biography

Adrianne Thompson, MACM, is the Housing Community Coordinator at Tennessee Higher Education Initiative (THEI).  In this role she will guide individuals to a life of independence while they continue to grow socially, economically and spiritually after incarceration. A Knoxville native, Adrianne received her BS of Social Work Degree from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.  After navigating her own share of life’s challenges, she acquired a master’s degree from Lipscomb University in Christian Ministry with a Concentration in Pastoral Care and a Certification in Spiritual Direction.  With the motto, “empowered people - empower people”, Adrianne advocates daily to support the community and be a light to others
